Half Ironman training

When I first considered doing a ‘Half Ironman’ my ambition was simple – get over the finish line before the 8.5 hour cut-off time! At first my training was at best haphazard, until a friend recommended Chris. After an initial meeting and completion of a questionnaire, Chris devised my personalised training programme. Chris was always there to answer my questions, to encourage, to monitor and yes, to chastise when I didn’t quite stick to the plan. After completing Chris’s programme and taking on board his detailed pre-race advice, I crossed the finish line in not 8.5 hours but a respectable 6 hours 37 minutes. I couldn’t have achieved such a fantastic result without Chris’s input; I would recommend his coaching programmes to anyone setting themselves a sporting or a life challenge.
