About Chris Dominey

For the past 20 years I have devoted myself to the health and fitness industry. Through university studies, career choices, continual education and my personal fitness goals. This drive for development has seen me compete for the GB Age Group Team at triathlon, along with completing several full distance Ironman events.

I have worked as a fitness instructor and personal trainer for the past 18 years helping people of all abilities and backgrounds to achieve their own performance goal. Now performance can mean different things to different people. I like to think that being performance driven is having a will to work towards completing or maintaining a particular goal. Over the years I have helped clients achieve a multitude of different goals.

These include things like Health Goals: weight loss, increased mobility, improved strength, maintenance of fitness for living a full life or improved diet and nutrition. To more Sports Orientated Goals: run a 5k, complete a triathlon, run a marathon, complete an Ironman.

I believe the key to my success is my passion for working with people and keeping my client base relatively small. I like to get to know my clients, become part of their journey, create a plan of action unique to them, their goals, their time restraints and be prepared to adapt when required.

I have always offered 1:1 personal training and really enjoy this aspect of my work. However, since becoming a qualified triathlon coach several years ago and with the advancement in online training tools, I am now offering remote triathlon and fitness coaching through phone app based software.

Don’t worry I still keep my client base small currently working with no more than 12 remote clients at a time. This remote training has seen great success with clients enjoying the accountability, planning and coach contact it provides, whilst benefiting from the reduced costs and greater freedom it offers in planning sessions.

My client base runs from the junior triathletes I coach on a Tuesday night to men and women 70 years plus who are willing to put the effort in to live healthy and full lives.
